Play time

Connor got some play mat play time in today. But....

....it was short lived because Noah kept wanting to "play" with Connor too.

Play mat time will have to be reserved for Noah's nap time I guess :)

Beary Cute!

I just adore this "Beary Cute" little guy! His pants have a bear face on the butt, cracks me up :)

Eye Color

I can't tell what color Connor's eyes are going to be. At first I thought for sure they will be blue, like Noah's but lately it looks as if they are turning brown. Or green. Or maybe just a dark blue. It all just depends on the lighting. I've read that they can take up to a year to turn their final color, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see! :)

Helpful Noah

It's hard to make out what is happening in this picture, but Noah is sharing his pup pup with Connor. We thought it was super cute because he LOVES his half blanket/half dog lovie.

We also watched as Noah very gently reinserted Connor's binkie. It was ridiculously cute and we made a really big fuss because Noah was so gentle. Noah is going to like being a helper for his little brother!

Back to Work

Daddy went back to work this weekend, which was a big adjustment for all of us. That's part of the reason why the blog hasn't been updated in a while. But I'll catch up! We sure loved our 6 weeks of family bonding time. It went by so fast!

St. Patrick's Day

Connor is "Mommy's New(est little) Man" :)

We went to the boys' Great-Grandma's house for St. Patrick's Day for the annual corned beef and cabbage dinner! Fun times :)

Mylicon and Mommy Time

We give Connor anti-gas drops every now and then; this is what he thinks of them. He sits there licking his lips like he was given peanut butter.

Mommy went out to dinner with friends tonight, the first time being away from Connor. I was worried he wouldn't take the pumped bottle but James said he drank it just fine.

Growing like a weed!

I don't know why, but Connor looks so much bigger to me already. He's only 5 weeks and I know he is still an itty bitty thing, but he's out growing that newborn look to me. He's out grown newborn diapers already, and it seems like newborn clothes will be need to be boxed up shortly too!

Baseball Baby

I love this thermal baseball outfit, Noah outgrew it so quickly.

Eye infection :(

Connor had to go see his wonderful pediatrician today because his eyes are red and gunky. The doctor said eye infections are common in babies, as their tear ducts clog easily. Poor kiddo needs ointment 4-5 times a day. I'm just glad it wasn't pink eye! Yikes.

We also discovered Connor has an umbilical hernia, which is common and harmless but makes his belly button stick out farther when he cries. We just thought he had a big outtie belly button LOL It should resolve itself on it's own within a year or so.

Oh! And he weighed 10lbs 11oz today, so he's gained almost 3 pounds in a month! Must be all that weight gain 3,000 he's been drinking ;)

Snuggle Puppy

Connor still loves to be swaddled. If he has been changed, fed, and burped but is still a bit fussy, we can just wrap him up and he usually falls asleep within minutes. He always looks so cozy!

"I Work Out"

Connor got some exercise today, working out his neck during some tummy time. He thought it was ok for awhile, but then he let us know when he was done.

Connor's First Softball Game

Connor went to his first softball game today! We went to watch Daddy play, but the tournament was running behind so we were able to just hang out with him for a bit. It worked out well though, I'm sure Noah would not have wanted to sit and watch, instead he got to run around while James chased after him. In true Connor style, he slept the entire time we were there. We ended up leaving before James' game even started since it cut into Noah's nap time. It's been a while since I've had to carry my sleeping big boy into the house. :)

One Month Old!

Connor is one month old today! Fastest month ever. Twice today he seemed like he smiled at me while he was awake. It was probably facial muscles responding to physical stimulus and not a real, intentional smile but it was still super cute!

Noah was especially interested in Connor this morning, which was both cute and stressful. He brought him the stuffed monkey, his (very hard) toy Thomas train, and tried numerous times to give him kisses and touch his mouth and eyes. Noah loves to say "baby!" and point to or pat Connor any place he can reach. I'd like to start giving Connor some more tummy time, but it may have to be limited to during Noah's naps for the little guy's safety!

Last night and tonight Connor has been fussier and gassier than usual. He seems to be showing signs of acid reflux. We may have to put him on the same antacid medicine Noah was on for a bit, it's so sad to see him wince, cry and stretch his little neck after spitting up. Knock on wood, Connor does not spit up nearly as much as Noah did, thankfully!

Baby Toes!

Daddy held Noah up so that we could compare feet sizes. Didn't get a very clear shot of their size difference, but regardless, I love baby toes!

Lizard on a Hot Rock

Connor loves to be a "lizard on a hot rock" as Papa Ray calls it. He sleeps so deeply while on Mommy or Daddy's chest. We think it's pretty great too ;)

Cutie Patootie

I love seeing Connor in all of Noah's adorable outfits. Especially the newborn stuff that Noah outgrew so quickly.

This adorable sock monkey jacket is one of the few pieces of clothing that I bought new for Connor. The ears on the hood kills me.

Connor says baths are NO fun!

Connor is not getting any more fond of baths. Poor guy does NOT like to be cold. But with so little meat on his bones, who can blame him? I need to fatten this kid up! :)

Dream Smiles

Connor makes all these great faces while dreaming. He pouts, looks deep in thought, sometimes whimpers, and best of all he smiles, sometimes great big open mouth smiles. Usually they are way too quick to catch a picture of, but today I saw his tell tale dreamy eye twitching and so I sat watching him, camera in hand.

So sweet!!!

Three Weeks Old!

I was a little disappointed at how hard it is to read "weeks" on these stickers, but luckily the monthly stickers I ordered have a lot more contrast to them.

These three weeks have flown by, I really wish that I hadn't been sick for 90% of it!

Connor now accepts a binkie, which I am thankful for, mainly because it helps him work out his congestion in between feedings. He's been sounding more like a baby pig lately instead of his usual baby bird-ness. :(
