I was called about a job opportunity on the 24th in a new school district (not going to say which due to the heavy traffic from Pinterest, hi everyone!), interviewed and STARTED the very next day.  I've been in the classroom all weekend trying to get everything set up. Fortunately I've had lots of help from 4 handsome men (James, the boys, and Papa).

This is my first time being back to work full time since Noah was born, it's going to be a huge change for me. In a way I'm glad it happened suddenly, this way I don't have time to think about how much I'll miss my babies!  We are so lucky to have a wonderful Grandma who can lovingly take care of them while I'm at school. I don't think I could have gone back to work without her!

Connor rarely stays on his play mat more than 5 minutes these days. He would much rather twist and roll around!

Connor got to meet his cousins, Brooke and Alyssa, who live in Texas, for the very first time today!

I remember when Noah wore these cute baseball jammies. I am one lucky Mama to have such handsome boys!

Increased Awareness

 Connor has definitely become more aware of the world around him. Lately he loves to grab his toes.

 He was playing with this rolling, rattling toy for seriously like 15 minutes straight. I think he was trying really hard to get the lizard out of the ball so that he could put it in his mouth LOL.

First "food"!!

 We gave Connor rice cereal for the first time tonight!   James took pictures, this one is overexposed and blurry, but you can see his eye color well. It appears as though we have a green eyed boy! :)    His eyes often reflect what he is wearing, so some times they look bluer or almost black but I think his real eye color is a beautiful olive green shade.

Connor then actually got really upset and uncharacteristically cried for a while before I could calm him down. I guess we should not have tried to feed him with a slow spoon when he was hungry.


We've since tried cereal again (when he wasn't super hungry) and he enjoyed it much more. Woops! 

5 Months Old!

 Sweet Connor baby is 5 months old today! He is such a wonderfully sweet, happy baby. We are so lucky to have him as a part of our family and I love being his Mama very, very much!

Happy 4th of July!

 We went downtown to walk around a bit and watch the fireworks. Connor enjoyed himself, slept through the noisy show but then woke up when we were strapping him back into his car seat. Poor guy did NOT appreciate being woken up, little man loves his sleep. But thankfully he was able to fall back asleep as we were walking to the car.

Connor got to rock it today! :)


Papa said he thought Noah was older when he wore it (so did I!) so I pulled up the photos to compare.  Noah wore it (in this picture) when he was 4 days shy of 5 months. Well today Connor is 6 days short of being 5 months! Crazy huh??

Me thinks Connor definitely wins the squishy-est thighs award! :)
